Environment is one of the basic values in anyone’s life. RJSS is committed to protect & preserve environment in its activities. The organization has a policy of providing a safe and healthful workplace, protecting the environment, and conserving energy and natural resources. There are many innovative ideas the organization is adopting to protect the Environment.

Harit Chetna

The Organization promotes the protection of our natural environment and increasing awareness in environmental issues like deforestation, environmental pollution, water crisis, global warming and climate change, loss of biodiversity etc. This environmental awareness campaign made people realize the pressing need to take immediate action to stop harming the environment and start restoring the damage they have done to it.

Van Raksha Bandhan Program

The Hindu festival of Raksha bandhan which strengthens the bond between brother and sisters was celebrated in a unique way by the women in India. RJSS celebrated Raksha Bandhan by tying the secred thread around trees, pledging to protect them and hence the environment. The women dressed in their traditional attire, stepped out of the periphery of the area to tie rakhi around trees with a motto to save trees, environment and the earth. The forest department also utilize the occasion of Raksha Bandhan to tie rakhi around trees.

The protection of trees is the need of ours to save environment and protect the world from natural disaster by developing emotional bonding with the natural resource especially trees make people more sensitive to the issues like environment protection.

RJSS has taken as challenge before 15 years and driven the movement for this holy cause at Giridih, Koderma, Gumla, Saraikela-Kharsawan, Lohardaga, Chatra, Ranchi, Ramgarh, Khunti, Hazaribagh, Simdega and Latehar with collaboration of Forest department, approximately 10000 hectare forest land protected through Van Raksha Bandhan so far by conducting as anniversary of this occasion every year.
